4th of July Weekend

I hope everyone had a great and memorable July 4th! This year my parents took us to Madeira Beach for a long weekend...we had a condo on the beach which allowed Macey to swim 24/7! I don't think she ever took off her bathingsuit...we were always in either the pool or the ocean...I think I have a fish for a kid! Macey loved playing in the waves, but if you just held her she would slowly go to sleep from all the "bobbing" up and down! It was quite funny and adorable!

Macey can now say almost everyone's name in the family...I can't get over how big she is getting ( I know I say that constantly, but everyday it's something new!) When it came time for the fireworks on the beach, Macey got very quiet and still. Since there is no "law" for fireworks on the beach we were at, people had all kinds and were letting them off in front of us and a good mile down the water. She saw a few and then wanted GIGI (Grandma) to go upstairs with her for nite nite!
We had a really nice time with the family, especially since those trips don't happen very often. You truly realize how lucky you are when you take a step back and look at those you love and those who really love you back no matter what! Until next time...

1st Visit to SeaWorld

I have definetely slacked on keeping up with the Lincon Log! So now I am going to attempt to catch you all up on what has been going on with our lives. Last month I finally got on the Orlando Bandwagon and bought SeaWorld passes for the family. Macey absolutely loved it from the moment we entered the park. Brandi and Preston, SeaWorld pros, went with us and showed us the ropes. It's like we had our own private tour guides, but she forgot to bring the big bright flag to hold up to keep us all together!!! Maybe next time, I will buy us all matching shirts! j/k....I think that is all we saw there in groups. It's like the rainbow with those things....They are either...red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo, violet!!!! I do think we went on the hottest day of the year so far, thank goodness for water misters, air conditioned shows, shamu splashes and kiddy water area!

The entire time during the Dolphin and Whale Show, Macey just "wowed" at everything....It was so awesome to watch her see everything and know (in her mind) what was going on. She is turning into such a big girl. Macey also loved the Elmo show (airconditioned) and danced her booty off at each song! She is a little bit like her daddy and likes to see if everyone is watching and she has to talk to everyone!!!!

Well, as we begin to leave the park, someone's eyes start to shut and she is off to dreamland for her next adventure! Until next time....

Bokeelia Weekend

What are brothers for?

Daddy and Macey

Boating, drinking, eating, playing, & sleeping! That is what we got to do last weekend in Bokeelia. We went with Tommy and Karen Eldredge with the "chillins" and had a fabulous family weekend. Everytime we got on the boat and started going, Macey would close her eyes, start drooling and pass out! The boat would stop and she would immediately be ready to swim in the deep blue! Macey got to swim and play with Adam and Emily all weekend and she thought she was just as big as they are....they took really good care of her and helped wear her out for nighttime!!! I don't think David or I have ever seen her eyes roll back as far as they did when it was time to hit the pillow....she even snored both nights! It is so great to see and experience your child having so much fun and never letting go of a smile.

David & Tommy did some fishing off the boat one day and they gave us some laughs. First, Tommy had one on the line and it looked like he was struggling (they thought they might catch some tarpin) so David quickly had me take Macey and as the fish came up....it was a CATFISH!!! Second, as David had his line out...one grabbed on and he was yelling to Tommy and the boat next to us that is was a big tarpin....it was a snook!!! You have to love these boys! Now we all have to wonder what they "really" catch when they go away for "boys" fishing weekends!
One of our final stops was Cabbage Key...famous for Jimmy Buffet writing "Cheeseburger in Paradise"....although we didn't have any cheeseburgers, we did have some "Cabbage Creepers" to drink and they do what the name says....creep up on you!!! As the adults were having some beverages, the kids got to play with the Gopher Turtles and other miscellaneous things there. Since Cabbage Key is on Indian ground, you can only imagine how beautiful and serene it is. There were tropical flowers everywhere and at that time I just stepped back and realized how truly wonderful and blessed my life is. As we said goodbye to Cabbage Key, we said hello to a God sent sunset!
For all the memories we made this past weekend, I have to thank Tommy and Karen for "making it happen!"

I have quickly come to realize, by watching how fast Macey is growing, just how quickly life passes us by. There are experiences everyday that impact our life and I want to hold on to as many as possible. With that being said, I have decided to start "journaling" our life as the Lincon's. Although this is about 2 years too late, I have to start somewhere and that is going to be with Macey being almost 2. For our friends and family that we don't get to see as often as we would like, I hope this helps in sharing our life experiences and memories with our family. As you all know...since I am married to Mr. David Lincon....you will have lots of laughs and wonder....how does she do it???!!!!
